U4GM WoW Forever Skyborne and New Class Pairings

Hartmann

WoW Forever introduces the Skyborne with a faction choice that determines access to two distinct class options: Horde Windshapers can become Shamans, while Alliance High-Order Skyborne can become Mages. Decide which side your friends intend to join before creating a character; players considering WoW Forever Gold can also plan their resources around that choice. Other new race and class combinations offer alternatives for players who prefer a familiar starting area.

WoW Forever Skyborne faction choices

Skyborne characters begin on Zephras Isle, a starting area designed for levels 1 through 12. Choosing a faction at character creation connects your character to either the Horde or the Alliance, so check that decision against your group's plans before settling on a class. The announced Windshaper Shaman and High-Order Mage pairings give each side a distinct option, but they do not establish a complete list of Skyborne classes.

1. Choose your faction with your intended group before creating a Skyborne.

2. Pick Windshaper if the Horde Shaman pairing fits your plans.

3. Pick High-Order Skyborne for the Alliance Mage pairing.

WoW Forever new class pairings

Orc Mages and Troll Warlocks give Horde players two new ways to match a familiar race with a different class. Undead Paladins add another option, while Alliance players can choose Human Hunters, Gnome Priests, or Dwarf Shamans. These pairings provide alternatives to the Skyborne starting experience without requiring a new race.

Start with the class you want to play, then check its available race and faction. A preferred appearance matters, but it will not resolve a mismatch with the people you plan to join.

Choosing a starting experience

Zephras Isle is the defining early distinction for a Skyborne, with its own elemental architecture and level 1 through 12 experience. A newly available pairing on an established race offers a different starting route, so consider the opening area alongside your class preference. Neither choice alone determines which ruleset your group should select.

1. Choose Skyborne if exploring Zephras Isle is your priority.

2. Choose an established race for its new class pairing.

3. Confirm your group's ruleset before making your character.

The comparison below focuses on starting location and class choice, the two practical differences supported by the announced details. Check faction alignment separately before making a final selection.

Choice	Starting area	Example pairing
Skyborne	Zephras Isle	Windshaper Shaman
Established Horde race	Traditional area	Orc Mage
Established Alliance race	Traditional area	Human Hunter

Use the table to narrow your starting preference, then agree on faction and ruleset with friends before launch. For players planning purchases, WoW Forever Gold for sale provides an option to review alongside their character plans. Keep the class and group choices first, since those decisions shape the character you actually play.
